THE PROBLEM
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for rubber gloves has surged. While production has significantly increased, so too has the amount of glove waste. On average, it is estimated that approximately 100 tonnes of gloves waste are produced each month. Unfortunately, this waste frequently ends up in landfills or incinerators, releasing harmful gases and heavy metal particles into the air, posing risks to both the environment and human health.
THE SOLUTION
We collect these rejected nitrile rubber gloves, upcycled into eco rubber compound and moulded them into as rubber eco soles for eco footwear.

Rejected nitrile rubber gloves previously discarded as waste in such high quantities, Geomax Rubber re-introduces them into society in the form of value-added eco rubber products. We transform these unwanted gloves materials into eco-friendly, sustainable footwear. Our patented green technology allows us to create an attractive alternative to traditional rubber – greener and more sustainable. Our brand, Solewell, is a sustainable footwear brand that combines engineering functionality with environmental responsibility.
The rubber qualities are kept intact as well as its strength, flexibility and durability. We have also added a non-slip design to further enhance its superior quality. In addition, it is tested on 30% slope coated with oil and water. Solewell is the world’s first eco sandal made with rejected nitrile rubber gloves, and with an anti slip sole design.
